![]() ![]() Then here is what happened when I tried running the maya executable as ~]# maya var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/Maya2019/MayaConfig.pit: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token `)' Ocalhost ~]# /var/opt/Autodesk/Adlm/Maya2019/MayaConfig.pit I then received this after running the second instructed line. Libadlmutil.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory 2 2018.0.0.F “No serial number needed – just sign in” I tried replacing the serial numbers with this and I received this response, /usr/autodesk/maya2019/bin/adlmreg -i N “No serial number needed – just sign in”. So I followed the directions up to the last part in this link, where it now instructs you to enter your serial number and product number with a certain command. Playblast use won’t go away, but for certain situations, cached playback will be incredibly useful. So I found that the License.env file is supposed to be made in the files that maya created during installation in my root directory. Perhaps the most notable addition to Maya 2019 is the introduction of cached playback, a Playblast supplement that allows users to see animation previews with rich detail quicker and easier than before. ![]() This particular Arnold release does not support GPU rendering, but from what I heard way back at August’s SIGGRAPH, its progress has been good, with the renderer shaping up to be (possibly?) suitable for final production rendering at launch. ![]() In particular, Viewport 2.0 brings area lights into the mix, giving scenes a much closer result to how the final render would look – important if someone is trying to perfect scene lighting. Other ways Autodesk has improved workflow is by optimizing pipeline integration and allowing users to see more realistic scene representations in the viewport. Scenes littered with meta data will load faster (~30% faster), and interaction between various tools should seem snappier, as well. Users have wanted stability and performance improvements in Maya for ages, and it seems like this particular release had a massive focus on it. ![]()
